Making the Most of Your Time

Breathe.

Ok, so I loved class this week. I saw people coming out of their comfort zones and really taking some risks. It doesn't behoove us to do the same things week after week and many of you took that to heart and went for it.

I Say YES!!!

I want to talk about Chris and Elizabeth.

Chris, I really enjoy when an actor begins to put the pieces of inspiration together in their craft. The permission, energy and intention behind your call back is exactly what we are after in class. I am less interested in it landing completely the first time out and more invested in increasing your vocabulary as an actor. The stuff at the door, the entrance and the swivel chair are all gems that would lead to call backs and bookings. Watch your dvd with an editors eye, but there was so many good things going on.

Elizabeth, I can see you ready to push beyond where you have been playing as an actress. The abandon you showed to explore a completely different personality type was ballsy. I would just say we need to anchor these leaps in what we know works for us technically. I have no doubt if you came back for a call back session we could take this to where it needs to be. What I want to applaud was the complete release of the "result".

Something I tell my classes often is "it is impossible to look good and get better at the same time."

The work overall was really great!

See you next week.
